Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1Box Office Report


Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 earned an estimated $62.1 million in the first day of its domestic release on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The estimate includes the $24 million in the box office from a record 3,700 locations that offered midnight performances on Thursday. The movie is now on track to bring in around $150 million or more up until Sunday from 4,124 theaters in the United States and Canada this weekend. The last Harry Potter film earned $77.8 million during its first three days.
This is the seventh Harry Potter film. It is the first of two films based on the last book of the Potter series. The next film in the two part series will be out in July. Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have previously announced that after nearly a decade of filming the Potter movies, this two-part film will be the last time for them to take on their Harry Potter roles
