There was a lot of glamour and glitz at the star-studded Stardust Award ceremony in Mumbai, Saif Ali Khan the star of Being Cyrus was also present at the events.

Many Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzzanne, Sonali Bendre, Sonakshi Sinha, Kajol, Twinkle Khanna and many others attended the ceremony.

The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is an annual festival, usually around nine days long, held in late January or early February, in the Kala Ghoda area of South Mumbai, India.

From its inception in 1999, the Festival has grown in stature and popularity, attracting visitors and participants from other parts of the country, and the world.

The Festival is organised by the Kala Ghoda Association (a non-profit organisation that states its objectives as "physically upgrading the Kala Ghoda sub-precinct and making it the Art District of Mumbai") and curated by teams handling each of the sub-festivals.

The sub-festivals feature the visual arts, dance, music, theatre, cinema, literature, lectures, seminars and workshops, heritage walks, special events for children, and a vibrant street festival. Entry to all events is free to all (only restricted by the size of the venues) and costs are met through corporate sponsorship. Venues include The Jehangir Art Gallery, The National Gallery of Modern Art, the David Sassoon Library, Max Mueller Bhavan, Elphinstone College, the K R Cama Institute, the M C Ghia Hall, and the street area of Rampart Row. Rampart Row is closed off to vehicular traffic for the duration of the festival, with the entire area becoming a street mela, with food stalls, artisans selling their creations, artists who sketch instant portraits, street art installations and the like. In recent years, the Festival has expanded beyond the Kala Ghoda crescent, with events being held in Azad Maidan and Horniman Circle as well.

The success of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has, arguably, encouraged the setting up of several other arts and cultural festivals at that time of the year, when the weather in Mumbai is cool and the sun sets early. These include the Mumbai Festival, the Celebrate Bandra Festival, and in 2007, the Kitab Festival.

However in recent times, local residents have gathered up in arms to complain about the noise, and left over mess that is left at the end of the festival. If some reports are to be believed, the festival is slated to be moved to nearby Horniman circle. However, this change of venue has not been confirmed by the organizers

The party at the Taj Lands End hotel started late on Saturday evening and continued until Sunday morning. Shah Rukh Khan was the last to arrive late in the morning and he was at his jovial best.

Aamir received him at the gate with a warm hug.

When asked why he got so late, Shah Rukh jokingly said: "I am running one day late in my life, but it was out of love for Aamir that I made sure that I attend the ceremony."

But he quickly added: "I was actually shooting. I was working so I told him that I would come late and they are so sweet that they waited for me. Imran and Avantika are my young friends, so I wanted to come and wish them."

Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri are seen as the ideal couple in Bollywood, but the superstar didn't give any golden tips to the couple. "I charge for my advice. I don't give free advice to anyone," he joked again.

SRK-AaamirBut on serious note, he added: "They are just married, so I wont give them any tips now. I have told Imran and Avantika to come and sit with me and I will make them understand how to lead a best marriage life."

Asked what he gifted to the couple, he said: "I hugged them tightly with love. I don't think any gift can be bigger than my heartfelt love."

Imran married his long time girlfriend Avantika on Jan 10 and soon after the wedding the couple went to Thailand for their honeymoon.

Among the first ones to arrive at the gala was master blaster Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali. Yuvraj Singh and boxer Vijendra followed them. They stayed for few minutes and left after wishing the couple.

From the film fraternity, the whole Kapoor family - Shammi Kapoor and his nephews Rishi Rapoor and Randhir Kapoor came together to bless the newly weds. Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor too joined them.

"Imran is a very dear friend of mine. I want to wish them a very happy married life," said Ranbir.

Sal Picinich of Carlstadt, the veteran baker who became an unexpected celebrity through the reality TV series “Cake Boss,” died Sunday. He was 63.The cause was cancer, said his wife, Lucille.

Mr. Picinich, born on the Croatian island of Susak, worked 45 years at Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, where the TLC series is set. “Cake Boss” premiered in April 2009 and follows the adventures of Buddy “The Cake Boss” Valastro and his family and staff as they turn out big, fancy custom cake after big, fancy custom cake. The show’s fourth season began Monday.

Valastro looked up to Mr. Picinich as a “second father,” said the bakery’s publicist, Adam Bourcier. Mr. Picinich had worked under Valastro’s late father, Buddy Sr.

Mr. Picinich stopped appearing on the show at the end of 2009, when he began battling illness, but returned last summer to accept the Employee of the Century Award on the occasion of the bakery’s 100th anniversary.

Lucille Picinich said her husband — “a man of little words” — enjoyed his brief celebrity.
“We’d go to Applegate Farms [in Montclair] and all of a sudden people would say, ‘Hey, there’s Sal!’ ” she said. “We went on a cruise last summer and he was spotted on the Oasis.”

Teresa Scanlan, a recent high school graduate, became the youngest woman to be honored with the title since 1921. She was the youngest contestant in Saturday's pageant at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas – and the youngest in the competition's history.

Scanlan, who earlier in the evening played "White Water Chopsticks" on piano, won over the seven judges – including The View's Joy Behar and Dancing With The Stars pro Tony Dovolani – to take home the title, besting 52 other women in the pageant's 90th anniversary.

Scanlan, who turns 18 next month, replaces outgoing Miss America Caressa Cameron, who handed the Gering, Neb., native the crown. Along with the title, the sash and the glimmering tiara, Scanlan, who aspires to attend law school and be a politician one day, won a $50,000 scholarship.

The smiley blonde, who does not have a boyfriend, said she worried that the judges would think the job was "too big" for her, considering her age, but she was determined to make believers out of them.

During her year-long reign, Scanlan hopes to brings awareness to eating disorders. Getting her inspiration from a friend who struggled with bulimia, Scanlan said the issue isn't brought to the forefront enough.

"We simply can't afford to let this issue go on because millions of girls and boys are out there dying form eating disorders. You can be this successful and you don't have to hurt yourself, you don't have to go to extremes," she said. "I never passed up a cookie on my journey here."

As the first runner up, Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady will take over the crown if Scanlan is unable to perform the duties of Miss America. Scanlan's victory denied sentimental favorites Miss Arizona Katy Bulkley, a college student who dedicated her vocal performance her mentor U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, and Miss Delaware Kayla Martell, a bald beauty who suffers from hair loss due to alopecia areata.

Following her reign, Scanlan plans to enroll in Patrick Henry College in Virginia.

It's not clear how it started, but a ridiculous rumor that Facebook is shutting down is spreading fast on social networks.

The hot rumor -- evidenced by Google Trends and gaining traction on Twitter -- says that on March 15, 2011, Facebook will be closing down. Not taking a day off, not undergoing maintenance, but ending entirely.

The rumor has led to such frantic tweets as, "Facebook will be shutting down on March 2011? I hope not!"  and "So the rumor is Facebook is shutting down....please don't jump to twitter & ruin my social networking experience"

Facebook users are also concerned. Says one: "Facebook is shutting down on March 15, 2011 for good D: Is there any way we can stop this!?!?" And a group has already started to stop Facebook from shutting down.

Whatever the reason for this rumor, it's safe to say that as a site with more than 500 million users and a $500 millon investment from Goldman Sachs recently, Facebook won't be shutting down anytime soon.

The reports even suggest that Asin's parents, who were not informed about the marriage, rushed to the wedding and tried to stop it.The Mid Day quoted the actress telling, “At last, the rumours are coming true. Asin expressed that she enjoyed the marriage thoroughly, “ I've gone through Malayali, Tamil and Telugu marriages. But this is my first Punjabi wedding. And I love it. I even danced at my Sangeet to Laung Gawacha."
