When the songs of ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ were released, they became instant hits throughout Telangana. In the same way, the movie also seems to be an instant hit (in Telangana region). Theatres in the region, especially in Nizam area are going fully packed, and this signifies that this one is the most-awaited movie of the year (in Telangana region).
This film is a gift by director N Shankar to the Telangana Movement.
Chakri scores full marks for composing the songs and giving an adrenaline-rush background score.
The lyrics in the film have been penned by greats like Gaddar, Andhesri, Goreti Venkanna, Nandini Siddha Reddy and KCR. Each and every song was applauded by the people. The theatres shook with the Songs "Jai Bolo Telangana" written by Andhesri, and "Garadi Chesthunru" by KCR.
Gaddar's Song, written and sung by him and pictured on him deserves special mentioning as the kind of applause he got, and the reaction of students in the theatre was to such great extent that it became difficult to listen to the song. Perhaps, we may not see such a kind of reaction even for Mega Stars and Super stars. The slogan ‘Jai Telangana’ comes at least 50 times in the movie.
Jagapathi Babu's performance is certain to get good recognition for the intensity he brought to the Character and also for speaking Telugu with a Telangana accent. Though his screen duration was very less , the director could make his part feel through out the film (bits and pieces).
Sandeep, the newcomer who played the lead role did his part well. Mallu Heroine Meera Nandan did not look like an outsider. She looked like a Telugu girl. People will remember few Characters like Chary (Hero's friend, inspired from real life character Srikantha Chary of Osmania University), the funny girl Katthi from Shamshabad (heroine's friend).
There are many other prominent characters like that of A.V.S, as the real estate investor and his assistant whose satires, jokes will tickle you.
Its amazing how N Shankar managed to shoot, edit and release such a huge project within 2 to 3 months.
